Get Infected!

The Dead Zone Haunted Attraction is a non-profit haunted house located at the home of James and Melissa Winton in Frisco, Texas, and will be open this 2015 Halloween Season on October 30th and 31st from 7pm to 11pm.

The Story

Exterminate.

Or be exterminated.

No one knows who dropped the first bomb. We said it was North Korea. Others said China. Russia said we did. Maybe Iran? It didn’t matter. As soon as one trigger was pulled, they all were pulled.

The objective: Eradicate the Parasite at all cost. But, what was the parasite? The bug that foreign scientists bioengineered to be a weapon, infecting their hosts and turning them into mindless killing machines, ripping into the flesh of their victims in an effort to multiply? Or humans in general?

The Story (continued)

Toxoplasma Gondii (or T-Gondii), a single-celled parasite was once relatively harmless to humans until men playing god mutated it and turned it into a biological weapon. Of course, they lost control of their Frankensteined monster, and the spread happened almost overnight, as one out of every five humans had already been infected with the innocuous parasite. It needed only to be woken up.

Civilizations fell. Governments crumbled. Mushroom clouds filled the sky.

This is The Dead Zone.

ONCE EVOLUTION HAS TAKEN PLACE, YOU CAN’T REVERSE IT.

QUESTIONS

If you have a question that isn’t addressed below, please contact us.

Is it scary?
Fear is experienced differently by each person. We make our best effort to scare everyone, but we also try to make sure that if you don't get scared, you will still have a good time. Our advice: If you come into a haunted attraction determined not to get scared, you probably won't. Relax and enjoy the show. A little screaming could be good for you. Also, if you don't scare easily, bring people with you that do. Half the fun is hearing your friends scream.
Will I be touched?
This is not an extreme haunted attraction; and thus, it is not the intention of the inhabitants of the attraction to purposely grab you. However, you may encounter a subtle or indirect touch, or accidental contact in darker areas. Food for thought: Don't touch us, and we won't touch you.
If I am in line at closing time, will I still get in?
Yes. The attraction stays open until all guests have gone through the haunt. The attraction is open from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. The best time to arrive is early in the evening while the trick-or-treaters are still roaming the neighborhood, and the inhabitants are fresh and wanting to play. The crowds usually peak about the middle of the evening.
What if it rains?
The attraction is open only two nights this year, Friday October 30th and Halloween night, RAIN OR SHINE. Our suggestion? Bring an umbrella or wear a poncho while you wait in line.
How old do you have to be to enter the haunted house?
While our attraction is not recommended for small children, we leave this decision entirely to the parent or guardian. Keep in mind that we will not tone down the show if a young child is in your group. We do not allow children to be forced to enter the attraction against their will. Children under ten must be accompanied by an adult. Carried infants are not allowed. Any children left unattended will be donated to the traveling Freak Show.
Will you be selling merchandise?
Yes. We will be selling The Dead Zone t-shirts, but proceeds will benefit the Miracle League of Frisco.
